What is photofacial therapy?
Photofacial therapy, also called photorejuvenation or IPL therapy, is a rejuvenating skin treatment in which a handheld device emits a bright blast of light energy to penetrate the skin on the face. The light energy reduces the appearance of sun damage, fine lines, redness, brown spots, broken capillaries, acne scars and other issues. The procedure takes about 15 to 20 minutes, with multiple sessions delivering optimum results. Photofacial therapy feels like a mild rubber band snap against the skin, that patients find very tolerable.
What is laser resurfacing?

Is laser resurfacing treatment painful?
There may be some mild discomfort, but most patients find treatment highly tolerable. About an hour before your treatment we apply a topical anesthesia to ensure optimum comfort. The procedure itself will take between 30 and 90 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated and the severity of the issues being targeted. Afterwards, there will likely be some minor pinpoint bleeding and redness, but this will go away on its own within a couple of days. Most of our patients go apply make-up and go back to work within 4 to 5 days of treatment. However, since your skin will be extra sensitive to UV rays, it is imperative that you wear sunscreen over the treated areas.
What results can I expect?
Once redness has dissipated, your skin will appear noticeably smoother, with a more even skin tone and a reduction of wrinkles, scars and fine lines. The overall results are a rejuvenated, fresher, more youthful appearance. Patients can expect to continue to see improvements a month or two after the treatment.
